Today, I went back to one of my favourite places on campus. There's a bench near the biology department, beneath two weeping willows at the side of the lake. Sitting there feels like sitting within the tree, with its limbs drooping down on all sides, surrounding me. There are coots nesting nearby- the begging of their chicks was the loudest thing I could hear. The geese on the other side of the lake were honking quietly. The hustle and bustle of the main areas of campus felt a very long way away.
